Céline and Denis arrived in Grenoble in 2014 and fell in love with this ruin perched on the hillside of La Tronche, in the south and surrounded by the 4 mountain massifs – Belledonne, Chartreuse, Vercors and Taillefer. 4 years of work later, the old stone house extends from a wood frame specially designed to share this place with travelers from all walks of life. The project was carried out with respect for the environment and the history of the house. Insulated in wood fibre, heated with wood pellets, covered with 30 photovoltaic panels and overlooking an organic basin fed by spring water. Welcome to the positive home!

Ideal for 2 people who want independence. The entrance is direct to the private car park. The studio is fully equipped with quality elements. Kitchen corner, Italian shower, Ambilight TV. If you have a young child, we have an umbrella bed available.
Private terrace in the trees with mountain views
The privacy of the private terrace is protected by a maple tree. The view of the city, the mountain and the organic pool is very appreciated by all our visitors. Meals are very nice on the terrace which stays cool in the summer.
Mountain deco cottage
The studio is designed in wood frame with a 3m beamed ceiling. Wood is ubiquitous and mountain-inspired decorative elements.
An ecological lodge
The cottage is eco-designed, wood-framed, insulated in wood fiber, stone tiles, thermodynamic water heater and photovoltaic panels. The waste is sorted and a composter is available in the garden. Overall, our home produces more energy than it consumes and we care a lot about it.
A 100% organic swimming pool
Even the pool is entirely organic, treated by a culture of bacteria (harmless) and UV, the water comes from the source near the house. There’s no plastic liner here. The bottom of the basin is composed of a natural rubber that does not take away from the comfort of the bath quite the contrary!
PMR access for people with disabilities
People with reduced mobility are welcome and have access to everything except the kitchen and garden (too sloping). The bathroom is equipped with suitable toilet, sink and shower.
An independent room between city and mountain
The Belledonne room is a great solution for people travelling alone or at 2. Close to the city centre of Grenoble, the CHU (Northern Hospital of Grenoble) and the university, but also at the foot of the Chartreuse massif and opposite Belledonne. The room is ideal for professionals travelling to Grenoble, for tourists wishing to hike or ski, for parents of students and for relatives of people hospitalized at the hospital of La Tronche.
A breathtaking view
The Belledonne room has arguably the most beautiful panorama of the house. Facing the massif that bears his name and overlooking the pool and garden, the room is a rejuvenating cocoon.
Comfort, simplicity and quality equipment
Adjoining our stay but well insulated by a double door and a wall one meter thick, the room includes independent access by the terrace. Equipped with an Italian shower and a separate toilet, this room has no kitchen. The high-end bedding consists of a solid wooden bed of 140 by 190. The office is ideal for anyone who wants to work, book or watch a movie on a quality TV. The Private Terrace gives direct access to the organic pool.

The cottage is just minutes from the shops of La Tronche which offer quality products. We are here to guide you to the producers of the region to guarantee you good and authentic.
The cottage gets 3 stars in the ranking of furnished tourists
Clévacances – the 1st rental housing quality label – awarded the studio a maximum rating of 3 stars in the tourism housing category. The quality of the materials, the services offered, the environment and PMR access were decisive elements to satisfy and even far exceed the expectations of the label. Our certificate can be found here.
The ranking takes into account nearly 200 criteria: comfort and equipment, situation and environment, reception and assistance… Thereafter, a check-up takes place every 4 years.

Grenoble offers a lot of entertainment, including nightlife. Many nice bars are easily accessible from home by public transport.
Outdoor & Sport
The chalet is at the start of many hikes or trail routes for all seasons. We are here to guide you and we have IGN maps and local guides at our disposal. If necessary, we can rent bikes for you.
Art & Culture
Grenoble has many theatres, concert halls and museums. The Grenoble Museum is close to the house.
We also recommend discovering the rural museums and in particular that of the monastery of the Grande Chartreuse.
Stations de ski
The Rozan chalet is ideally located to taste at different resorts in the 4 massifs that surround Grenoble: Chartreuse, Belledonne, Vercors or Oisans. The nearest resort is the Porte Pass which we highly recommend. You can practice cross-country skiing, skating, alpine skiing, ski touring or snowshoeing. The resort is family friendly, very friendly and cheap. A little further, you can access Saint Pierre de Chartreuse, Les 7 Laux or Chamrousse in 30-40 minutes. Finally, you can access La Grave, L’Alpe d’Huez or Les 2 Alpes.
